We are open for Curbside and Lobby Pickup: Mon & Fri 9-1 & Wed 2-6

Hi, starting on December 2, 2020 the Linesville Community Public Library is back to curbside/lobby pickup. To make a pickup, just call us at 814-683-4354. The library hours are Mondays 9-1, Wednesdays 2-6, and Fridays 9-1. No inside programming or services are being offered at this time, but our WiFi is still accessible from outside (password: libraries rock).

New ebooks and audiobooks are regularly added to our Overdrive account. You can access these books on your computer, e-reader or mobile device. To log on, all you need is a valid library card. For Android or iOS, download the Libby app directly on your device. Check out the Overdrive Help page for more information and some great video instruction.


Get access to hundreds of current magazines and back issues. Create an account using your library card number and access magazines through either this website or the RBdigital app on your device.

Gale Virtual Reference Library

Online access to encyclopedias and reference e-book sets. You can search the books, download articles from them in a number of formats, even have the articles read to you. At-home access is available. Simply enter just Linesville’s POWER code, no barcode.

Project Gutenberg

Project Gutenberg is a volunteer effort o digitize and archive cultural works. Founded in 1971 by Michael S. Hart, it is the oldest digital library. Most of the items in its collection are the full texts of public domain books and all were previously published by bona fide publishers. Project Gutenberg offers over 36,000 free ebooks to download to your PC, Kindle, Android, iOS or other portable device. Choose between ePub, Kindle, HTML and simple text formats.

Library Updates Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Effective Saturday, March 14, the Linesville Community Public Library will be temporarily closed to the public and will remain closed for a minimum of two weeks as a precaution to help limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). We hope to reopen on Monday, March 30 but will need to re-evaluate the situation as new information becomes available.

The library has an extensive collection of online services including eBooks, eAudiobooks. Please visit our website for more information.

Please do not return borrowed materials from March 16 – March 29. We will waive all fines and fees incurred during this period. The book drop will be open.

We thank our patrons for understanding and for being a part of our library. We will continue to share updates with you and we look forward to welcoming back our patrons to the library when we reopen.
