2017 Summer Reading Schedule:

Summer Reading Sign-ups begin June 1, 2017.
We have a Summer Reading Program for Pre-K thru Adult.

Summer Reading for Pre-K thru 6th grade
Will meet every Wednesday at 10am-11am
Wednesdays in June: 7, 14, 21, 28
Wednesdays in July: 5, 12,19, and 26th is the picnic.
(We will be having special guests on several of our Wednesday so mark your calendar now to come!)
Tales that Wag begin June 14 at 11:30 and will be every Wed.-this is for pre-K thru 6th graders to read to therapy dogs

If you are going into the 4th grade or higher we have:
Tweens & Teens every Friday beginning June 9 at 10am.
This is where you get to learn how to make something new and exciting and and we will discuss what books you like to read.
Fridays in June: 9, 16, 23 and 30
Fridays in July 7,  14 & 21 closing picnic is Wed 26

**Monday’s 1-4pm Knit & Stitch for 4th graders thru adult
**Wednesday’s 6pm-8pm Magic The Gathering 5th grade-adult – Magic is a trading card game (TCG) where you build your collection of cards by trading with your friends, assembling decks of cards, and battling against an opponent and their deck.

***Thursday’s 5:30-7pm Family Coloring

SPECIAL speakers and activities
happening all through June and July check with the library!

The Adult book club meets the second Monday of each month. Come and join us for some lively discussion, laughs and a snack

Summer Reading Sign-ups start June 1st!

Check out the library this summer for our exciting and fun-filled summer reading program.

On Wednesdays at 10:00 am will be our Pre-K through 6th grade story hour and craft time following at 11:30 am  will be Tales that Wag. Tales that Wag is a reading to therapy dog program that allows kids to practice their reading skills in a no pressure environment.

Fridays at 10:00 am will be our Tweens and Teen program for ages 4-12th grade.

Book Clubs at the Linesville Library

The Linesville Library Adult Book Club meets the second Monday of each month at 10AM. We have had lively discussions with many rabbit trails and lots of good laughs. Come and share or just listen. To find out what the group is reading call the library at 814-683-4354.

Linesville Tales That Wag

Linesville Tales That Wag 2013-2014 school year session which met every Thursday evening from 5pm-6pm (except holidays)has ended. We will be starting our Summer Tales that Wag in June which will be on Friday Mornings (watch site for more details). This program is for preschool through 6th graders. It is a time for young people to read to therapy dogs to improve their reading skills in a positive atmosphere without any negative feed back. Our therapy dogs are: Max and Bailey who are very good listeners and love the children. This is a free program but parents/guardians must sign permission slips for their child to participate (permission slips available at the circulation desk).

Story Hour 2013-2014

The Linesville Community Public Library’s 2013-2014 Story Hour has ended on April 30. The 2014-2015 Story Hour will begin in September. This program is for preschoolers and is an interactive hands on learning experience of stories, songs, movement, crafts and more. This is free and open to the public. Keep checking our site for exact start up date.
