Linesville Public Library April News

Mondays: Knit & Stitch every Monday 1-4. Want to learn how to knit or crochet? Come and our ladies will show you. Have a project that you can’t figure out? Our ladies will help get the problem solved. Just want to work on your project and chat? Come on in!

Tuesdays in April Computer Classes 5:00pm-6:00pm. Classes are limited in size to four participants so reserve your spot today! You will receive personal help and a laptop is provided for you to work on. These classes are running April and May.

Wednesday is Pre-School Story Hour @ 10am. This is a free interactive learning experience for preschoolers. It includes: stories, songs, crafts, snack and more. No registration necessary just show up. Our last Story Hour for the 2018-2019 year is Wednesday, April 24. (Our Therapy Dogs will be with us every other week for the children to enjoy). Our Easter party is April 17.

Wednesdays 5-7:45pm is Magic the Gathering and D & D. You must be in 5th grade or higher to participate. (Our D & D group is full, if you want to get on the list to be called to join when a character dies please call us)
Thursday evenings 5:30-8pm is Family Coloring. Bring your own pictures and coloring items or use the library’s.

Thursday evenings 5:30-6:30pm Reading to Therapy Dogs! This is for preschool through 7th graders. Come and read to our therapy dogs in an nonthreatening atmosphere with a loving furry friend.

Fridays 10am-1pm is adult coloring. Bring your own pictures and coloring items or use the library’s.

Saturday’s: Come on in and play with our Play K’s -STEM & STEAM kits or do a puzzle we are a family friendly place to relax and learn.

Second Monday of each month is book club at 10:00am.

SPECIAL EVENTS!

Saturday, April 6 10am-11am Nikki Coulter a Young Living enthusiast and essential oils addict will be addressing the issue of chemicals in your house. This is a one hour class on how to kick using chemicals in your home. She will discuss: What are oils, history of oils, oil purity and why that is critical, how oils are made, how they affect the body, safety, where to start in your home

Saturday, April 13 10am-Noon Sign language! Come and learn how to sign the basic signs and then we will move on to conversation. If you have some knowledge of sign language you can come and practice with others.

Monday, April 15 11am-1pm Adult Doodle Pens! They are back! We will have more time to try our hand at being creative with these 3D pen printers! Come and have some fun!

Friday, April 19 & Saturday April 20 the Library will be closed in honor of Easter!

Friday, April 26 A Wine Making Class from 6:30pm-8:30pm. This is for adults 21 years or older. Mr. Dick Hotchkiss has been making wine for over 20 years and he will be sharing how you to can make wine (yes there will be some wine tasting). You must sign up so that we know how many to plan on. Saturday, April 27 from 8am-Noon a Baby-Sitting Certification Class! This is a 4 hour class and you will be certified after you have completed it and passed the test. This class is FREE but if you had to pay it would cost you $75.00. Take advantage now when it is FREE! Call and sign up! This is for 11 years old on up.

Monday, April 29 10-Noon the Linesville Library is hosting a fund raiser $10.00 per person all supplies included, “Stained Glass Lillies”

The library is still selling candy bars, crochet scrubbies, knitted dish cloths, table runners and more as fund raisers. NOTE the stitch group has made Easter themed table runners and hot pad bowls for purchase!
