Summer Reading 2020 is Coming!

Hello Everyone! We are still having Summer Reading despite COVID19! It may look a little different then in years past but we are still moving ahead and READING! We have two Summer Reading programs: one online (sign up online) and one that you actually come to the library and pick up a weekly packet (you will register at the library for this one…you can call in beginning June 8) so we have everything ready for you. We are doing this due to the uncertainty of the library being physically open or not due to COVID19. You can participate in either or in both but you can only count your time once for the tickets for the gift drawings. Yes, Summer Reading is for all ages Pre-K thru adult. It will officially begin with sign ups and packets available June 15 and run through July 29 with the drawing for the gifts that day at Noon. More information will be available soon.

The Linesville Library has a Preschool Story Hour every Wednesday 10am beginning Wednesday September 25 thru the end of April 2020. In this picture our therapy dogs are here visiting us. Our Preschool Story Hour is an interactive time of learning and fun and is free and open to the public. There is no preregistration just come! We have stories, games, songs, dancing, learning & discussing about the weather/time/ day/ year/season, crafts, snacks and more!

Play-K Kits at the Linesville Library

The Linesville Library currently has Play-K Kits available for in-the-library usage which were provided by the State Librarian under the Office of Commonwealth Libraries. These kits help promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) as well as Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) in children. In addition to this, these play-k kits are aligned with Pennsylvania Learning Standards to help get the child ready for kindergarten. Stop in and “play” today! Ask at the desk!
